Daughtry veröffentliche heiß ersehnte EP!

DAUGHTRY veröffentlichen ihre heiß ersehnte EP „SHOCK TO THE SYSTEM (PART TWO)“. Die mehrfach Platin-prämierte Band schlägt damit ein neues Kapitel auf und erhalten gleichzeitig das Momentum aufrecht, das ihnen ein Jahr mit zwei aufeinanderfolgende Active Rock #1-Singles („ARTIFICIAL“ und „PIECES“) sowie ausverkaufte Touren Creed und Disturbed beschert hatten.

“SHOCK TO THE SYSTEM is about facing the things we’ve ignored and confronting the wake-up calls that force us to go deeper and get honest,” so Chris Daughtry. “These songs unlocked something in me as a writer and a human being. PART TWO is the result of that journey.” Die Intensität von Wandel und Transformation fängt das zutiefst persönliche Werk eindrucksvoll ein.

Die EP gipfelt im emotionalen „ANTIDOTE„, wo eine griffige Pianomelodie, atmosphärische Vocals und ein filmreifes Streicherarrangement zusammenkommen. Daughtry gibt hier eine seiner bisher verletzlichsten Performances: “Looking back, it’s hard to watch the poison take control when you don’t have the antidote.”
